After the GOP gave members John McCain in 2008, over half of all Republicans, 52% , want a 3rd Party and candidates that will more closely align to their true conservative values.
The Gallup poll released Monday, also found that 33
percent of Democrats want a third party. Gallup said it’s the first time its
polls have found a significantly larger number of Republicans than Democrats
favoring a third party.
The poll found that 52 percent of all Americans
want a third party, down slightly from 58 percent in August.
Gallup said the increasing desire among Republicans for a third party could be an outgrowth of the rise of the tea party movement. The poll found 60 percent of Americans who identify themselves as tea party members want a new party.
Given that a majority of Americans see a need for a third party, and their level of
satisfaction with the way things are going in the country is fairly low, it
would not be surprising if a third-party candidate emerged as a factor in the
2012 presidential race, Gallup’s Jeffrey M. Jones wrote.

If the Tea Party splits off or if the true conservatives split off from the Republican Party that action will garuntee an Obama win in 2012 and the Republicans will probably lose their chance to win the Senate back. I seem to remember the last 3rd party candidate cost George H.W. Bush a second term. It is a bad idea.
Except for Ron Paul, any other “Democrat or Republican” Candidate will only be another Banking Cartel Puppet. Ron Paul has proven to be a Champion of the Constitution and We the People with a 21 year track record. Americans want another choice because they are waking up to this fact. This poll demonstrates this. Republicans and Democrats have proven themselves to be different sides of the same coin…same unsecured border, same mushrooming Federal government, same War built on lies, same escalating Federal debt, etc. etc. etc.
America will begin to get righted when this nation begins to vote between the “best” of 4 or 5 candidates rather than the “better of 2 evils” the Cartel give us. Its more difficult to control 4 parties and independants than 2 parties. This is why the Banking Cartel and their media has set up a system so heavily weighted against “other” parties. This poll proves Americans, knowing your argument and its validity David, still desire more “real” choices.
In Cuba and Venezuela, they know there is a dictator.
In America, they just do it much better.
